This is the original BEST stainless steel louse and nit comb professionals use to remove lice and nits (eggs). Buy no other – this one will not damage the scalp!
The process to cover the hair with olive or grapeseed oil, and then use the Nit comb to remove all louse and nits will typically take you 2 hours. DO NOT use a plastic nit comb like the ones you find at the drugstore - they're useless! See our product info for more details.

Nit® Stainless Steel Lice Comb
The famous Nit Free® Lice Comb is a professional stainless steel louse and nit comb that is used for head lice treatment. The plastic lice comb just won't do the same thorough job!
This Nit Free® Lice Comb effectively removes lice and nits safely, without harming the hair. It is good for all hair types.
Get underneath and remove even the tiniest lice eggs (nits) from hair using the comb's micro-grooved teeth.
This pack includes one (1) terminator lice comb that can be reused over and over – but we hope you don't have to, as it's so effective!
TO USE:
- Cover the hair and scalp in an oil, such as olive oil or grapeseed oil.
- Comb the whole head thoroughly and gently using a comb, to remove knots (you will have to wash this comb very well later).
- Comb in small sections using the Nit Free® comb, rinsing in a bowl with hot water after every swipe.
- When you think your combing has been done, ensure there are no more lice or nits (eggs) on the scalp and on the hair. This process can often take 2 hours with longer hair – BE PATIENT – being thorough is key to ensure you get every single louse and egg as they can reproduce quickly!
- This process can be tedious, but it's the BEST way to get rid of all lice and their eggs in one day! (Be sure to wash all clothing, sheets and towels thoroughly in hot water, and dry in a hot setting after). If you see ONE SINGLE EGG after - do this process again. It will be worth it!
- Once you're finished, soak the comb in soapy dish water for at least 2 hours. You may also then place the comb in a sealed bag for 2-3 days to make sure any lice/eggs are captured and suffocated.
- Be sure to also wash your hands well and underneath the nails as well, because some eggs may be stuck under your nails! (some people prefer to use nitrile gloves for this lice removal expedition).
